Riverbend is GOING GREEN! Riverbend Retreat has qualified for the Green Lodging Michigan stamp of approval. We are now serving all-natural sausage and bacon (from local Providence Farms), organic eggs and dairy products, home-made bread, and organic fruits and vegetables, as available. In the spring, we will start our first vegetable and herb garden here at Riverbend, and will be serving those home-grown goodies to our guests! Of course, the garden will be Organic! Come stay with us and have a GREEN Bed and Breakfast Experience!

Beautifully situated on a bluff overlooking the St. Joseph River, Riverbend Retreat is a luxury bed and breakfast nestled in a quiet, secluded area of woods and wetlands. Just 90 minutes from Chicago, the city of St. Joseph is located on Lake Michigan - home of the famous Silver Beach and several great art museums, galleries, restaurants and charming shops. Or take a day trip to nearby South Haven or Saugatuck for great shopping and dining.
